The first phase of the State Street Master Plan is the planning phase—an integral part of the work built on community engagement to shape a shared vision for the future of our city’s most historic street and downtown corridor.
This effort has had its challenges for sure, as with any project of this significance. Yet, what has stood out is the tenacity of the City’s Master Plan team, led by State Street Master Planner Tess Harris, and their unprecedented community outreach.
At this moment, the Master Plan has reached an important milestone.
As City Council looks to move this planning phase forward on April 28, only two steps will remain this year to complete this phase: final community input this summer and final approval by City Council by year end.
We invite our community to come together in support of moving this planning phase forward.
